Project Organisation of local climate protection initiatives in Republic of Croatia

Project is initiated by the Ministry of envirnonmental protection, physical planing and construction  and GTZ Office in Croatia with active participation of North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency as a consultant of the project. Project has started in February 2009 and its finishing is planned for March 2011. Financing of the selected projects is secured by the Ministry of envirnonmental protection, physical planing and construction and GTZ Office in Croatia.

Project goals:

• Finding local government partners willing to participate in the project to ensure impmelentation of environment protecting measures on local level for the purpose of raising awareness among citizens regarding climate issues.

Activities within the project:

• So far four workshops and a study trip was organised while eight projects have received financial assistance for developing project documentation.
